1。IT Systems Engineer - UNIX --closing date: 21 Oct 2011
The primary purpose of the IT Systems Engineer is to support and maintain the Transurban infrastructure to ensure efficient operations and the business needs are met as defined in the Service Level Agreements.
This will require careful and proactive management of all servers, related infrastructure and other network devices, switches, routers etc, documenting the operations of the IT Infrastructure, ensuring their correct and efficient operation.
In addition, this role provides 2nd and 3rd level support for the Service Desk, end users, who experience difficulties with the operation of the network and the related systems in a timely and accurate manner and carry out project activities as required.
This role also provides on call support to 24 X 7 Critical Systems. The systems used within Transurban are mission critical to Transurban’s operating businesses, eg CityLink, M2 and M7.

3。 Senior Application Support Analyst --closing date: 07 Oct 2011
The purpose of this position is to provide operational support to Transurban’s core tolling system (GLIDe). GLIDe is a mission critical system which enables Transurban to assess usage of the road asset (Citylink) and invoice customers appropriately. GLIDe is being deployed into Transurban’s Citylink asset with the expectation that it will replace legacy tolling systems in other Transurban assets over time.
The GLIDe application suite, represented by Unix/Oracle environments is typically 24x7 in operation and includes:
Oracle CC&B – Customer Relationship Management
Custom developed applications running on Oracle Application Server and Middleware technology such as BPEL & ESB (Fusion) – Core Asset, Interoperability, Integration, etc
iGLIDe – Public facing website for customer account management
YellowFin Reporting Solution hosted on Oracle Application Server technology.
Batch Script Scheduling & Automation – Over 200 batch scripts run daily.
GLIDe Monitoring using Oracle Enterprise Manager and Grid Control
The position must also have an in-depth working knowledge of IT service support processes as detailed below:
Incident & problem management (Triage and Level 2 support, Incident diagnosis and resolution, root cause analysis)
Change management
Environment setup and support
Web & Application Server support
This position will provide Level 2 and 3 support to issues identified with the GLIDe Applications and will be a member of the GLIDe Technical Services team.
