这两个小学是分别2个小学，还是就是同一个小学？
记得之前看帖子说实验小学很好，但是排名贴里查，north sydney小学排名260位，不太好呢。怎么回事？

这个学校很不一样，首先是名字里面有个“Demonstration”，就是样板，典型的意思。原来国内有不少实验小学、实验中学之类的，是一个意思。
这个学校的motto也不一样，不提什么全面发展啊，素质教育啊啥的，而是赤裸裸地一句“Towards the Highest”。这在澳洲这边的教育体系里不能不说是个另类。
这个学校的教育水平普遍被认为是比较高的，为什么？因为跟University of Sydney的这个affiliation program。学校的老师很多都是UoS的教育系的本科和研究生，他们来学校给学生上课，同时收集各种数据，反馈给他们的研究计划。
很多最前沿的教育改革和新理论，首先会被应用到这个学校的cirruculum里面来；如果成功的话才会向其他小学慢慢推广。
而这也同时带来了此学校跟其他公校最大的一点不同：其他的学校的职员都是教育部的雇员，老师的来和走，校长并无太大权限；这个学校的老师则是必须通过一个interview panel的assessment，才能来任教。其中具体的安排细节我并不清楚，基本上UoS会支付给这些老师一些津贴，而老师们都要参与UoS的进修课程。

我们学区是north sydney demonstration，因为每天从那学校门口路过，觉得那里的孩子。。。而且听朋友说他儿子以前在那里，老师抓得不严，学几年，水平不见涨，后来不得不送私立学校。。。

在孩子没上学前，我每天从nsd经过，看到的孩子，大多不整洁，感觉不好，另学校临主路，设施也较少。听到的评价也不高。所以根本就没考虑这所学校。具体这两校的成绩和升学率还真没有研究。只要孩子开心就好。

朋友的女儿在North Sydney Demonstration读四年级了。说学校的环境和教育确实不错，有一点就是同学的父母都是本地当官之类的，或者医生，律师。总而言之都是比较HIGHER CLASS，但是考取OC班的一个都没有。朋友的女儿读书也不怎么样，朋友说因为同学们也没有读书的气氛，所以大家都读不好。再有就是朋友说她女儿也不是读书的料。哈哈，看来再好的学校，小朋友自己本身的努力也缺少不了。

还真是,这个学校就是环境好,学风似乎很一般.朋友的小孩在里面读书,读了一年就转到其他学校去了,就是因为这所学校每年能考上OC班或是精英中学的学生没几个.我们还一直以为这家是下北岸在考试成绩方面最不咋的的小学呢.

谢谢朱版！这就是我没有找到的那个帖子。
排名真的很差，260来名。很奇怪，下北其他小学都很好，还真找不到个排名这么后面的。cammeray，lancove，mowbary，mosman，neutral bay，不是前几，就是100左右。为什么？
和ashfield小学一样情况，区不算差，但是这个小学很差。ashfield的情况我知道，有点追求的都送summerhill，habarfield和croydon去了，剩下的家长也无所谓孩子学习的就送这个小学。难道north sydney小学也这样？

260来名也不算很差吧。校风好比学风重要。想要达到足迹牛蛙那种境界的，就算再好的学校也不能仰仗学校，还得靠家长自己抓。
