The Copabella Classic is a premier showjumping event. Held on the Princess Anne Arena at St Ives in northern Sydney, the show attracts a wide range of competitors, from dedicated amateurs and juniors, through to professional riders who have represented Australia at Olympic and World Cup level.

The Amateur Qualifier begins at 7:30am on Saturday morning, followed by the Juniors and Young Riders. The Futurity Class is scheduled to begin around midday and is follwed by the Welcome Stakes at around 3pm (a warm up for the Grand Prix on Sunday).

Sunday has the Amateur Final beginning at 7:30am followed by the Young Rider Final. The Mini Prix will begin around 11am and the Grand Prix kicks off at 2pm, with 20 of the best riders from aound the country in the line up including last year's winner Jamie Kermond back to defend his title with the gorgeous grey stallion Valhalla III! Tthe Junior Final will complete the weekend's action from about 3:30pm

The winner of the Grand Prix at this year’s Copabella Classic will walk away with a cheque for $5,000. Total prizemoney for the class has been increased to $12,000 and the overall value of the prizes for the two-day event has climbed to almost $30,000
