Dear Ms Chen
Thank you for applying for a Resident Return Visa (RRV) via the Internet. You have been granted a Resident Return visa, valid for 5 years, commencingon 31 March 2011 and expiring 31 March 2016. This visa permits you to travel in and out of Australia as often as youwish up to the expiry date. This visa also permits you to remainindefinitely in Australia as a permanent resident. If you wish to travelout of Australia after the expiry of this visa, you should apply for a newResident Return Visa. It is not necessary to obtain evidence of this visa in the form of a visalabel. If circumstances require you to obtain a visa label, you will needto go to the nearest office of the Department of Immigration & Citizenship(DIAC) to have a visa label placed in your passport. There is no chargefor this service. If you have requested another person to act on your behalf, you arerequired to complete the Form 956 or provide a letter of authorisation.The person acting on your behalf will be required to provide proof ofidentity. CHECKING YOUR VISA DETAILSThe Department has developed a service called Visa Entitlement VerificationOnline (VEVO) which allows certain third parties to check your visainformation with your consent. Through VEVO, you can give your consent to registered third parties suchas:· employers and labour suppliers, to help check whether your visaallows you to work in Australia;· government agencies, to help assess your eligibility for services;· licensing authorities, to help establish your eligibility for alicence; and· educational institutions, to assess whether you can study inAustralia. The disclosure of your visa information by the Department is governed bythe Privacy Act 1988. Therefore, the Department will disclose informationabout your visa to a third party only with your consent. You can consentto an inquiry about your visa entitlements by giving the third party yourname, date of birth, passport number and passport country of issue. If youdo not wish a third party to find out about your visa entitlements, do notgive them this information. The information form 993i Safeguarding your personal information, availableon the Department’s website (www.immi.gov.au) or from Immigration offices,gives details of third parties to which you can consent to your personalinformation being disclosed, and how you can consent. In Australia:Your enquiry can be answered at any local Department of Immigration andCitizenship (DIAC) office if made in person or by calling DIAC's telephoneenquiry line on 131 881. A list of all DIAC offices is available throughthe DIAC web page http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/index.htm If you are not in Australia:Your enquiry can be answered at any Australian Embassy, Consulate or HighCommission. A list of all Australian overseas missions is availablethrough the DIAC web pagehttp://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/overseas_index.htm.
