《歌剧魅影》续集将在墨尔本演出
MELBOURNE will today be named as next city to stage Love Never Dies, the sequel to the most successful musical in history, The Phantom of the Opera.
今天墨尔本被列为下个演出《爱永不死》（哈哈，名字很猛吧）的城市，这部歌剧是历史上最成功的歌剧《歌剧魅影》的后传。
It is believed the hit stage show will come to Melbourne, straight from London, before going on to Broadway and the rest of the world.
据说这部歌剧将直接从伦敦演出后到墨尔本，墨尔本也将是世界上第二个可以享受到这部歌剧的城市。明年3月，伦敦就开始上演了，所以喜欢这部歌剧的朋友要关注买票了。

Creator Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber is expected to make the announcement on Tuesday.

The show will probably be staged at the Regent Theatre from next year and theatre sources said the audition process would start "soon".

Anthony Warlow and Marina Prior, who starred in Phantom of the Opera in Australia 20 years ago, have been ruled out as contenders due to prior commitments.

Warlow will be performing in a musical version of Doctor Zhivago and Prior will still be contracted to Mary Poppins, which goes on to Sydney after the Melbourne season.

It is expected a worldwide search for the lead roles will start soon after today's announcement by Lloyd Webber - to be broadcast from London during a Parliament House breakfast hosted by TV identity Ray Martin.

Thousands are expected to compete for the roles in the stage show.

Love Never Dies made its world premiere in March in London's West End.

Major productions often take years to make it to Australia.

Phantom of the Opera and Mary Poppins both ran for years on Broadway and the West End before coming to Australia.

Love Never Dies continues the story of The Phantom of the Opera.

Ten years after the mysterious disappearance of the phantom from the Paris Opera House, the action shifts to New York's Coney Island, where Christine encounters the anonymous impresario who invited her to sing in the US.

我看过《歌剧魅影》在墨尔本差不多3年前了，相当不错。一定会关注这个续集上演的。收藏了。

我2年前在悉尼看过歌剧魅影, 非常的赞, 我会考虑明年特地去 MELB 看这部!

是的，我去看过的。我说一下着装：悉尼歌剧院我去听过歌剧，当时很认真穿了条半正式的黑色礼服裙子，去了发现有些人着装也比较随意；墨尔本看歌剧魅影，也是比较认真的着装，也有人着装随便；米兰拉萨卡拉歌剧院听音乐会，因为是旅游去的，没有带正式的服装，只能将就着去了，结果发现到底是欧洲的文化底蕴，去欣赏的人们不是一般的讲究，我在里面实在有些不好意思，当时想以后再也不能这样着装了，以免给中国人丢面子。建议还是认真着装比较好，因为这样对艺术欣赏是一种尊重。
