Ford Territory has received the maximum 5-star safety rating from ANCAP (Australasian New Car Assessment Program).
The ANCAP 5-star safety rating applies to the Ford Territory range on January 2010 plate models onwards.
ANCAP's 5-star rating compliments Territory's extensive list of standard safety equipment found on 2010 plate models, which includes:
Dual-stage driver and front passenger airbags
Side curtain airbags for front and second row passengers
Pyrotechnic seatbelt buckle pretensioners for driver and front passenger
Advanced restraints module
Crash severity sensor
Driver's seat position sensor
Beltminder System°
Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)
Traction Control
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD)
Grade Control Logic
A reverse camera and reverse sensing system are also standard on all Territory TS, Ghia and Ghia Turbo, whilst the reverse sensing system can be fitted as an accessory to Territory TX.
