塔州议会投票通过对州长的不信任动议

塔州州长Jeremy Rockliff 因大多数议员支持对他的领导权的不信动议，而失去了塔州的最高职位。

由反对党党首Dean Winter以增长的债务，削减公职人员的计划以及出售州资产等为由提出了不信任动议。

在两天的马拉松辩论后，下午3点42分进行了投票，35名议员投出了18比17的结果，议长Michelle O'Byrne 用她的一票打破了之前的平局。

她说：“我自从2024年担任议长后一直跟着我的党投票。

我是工党议员。当我被选为议长时很清楚地告诉议会以及民众，尽管我不再参加工党的党组会议和战略会议但是我会一直跟他们同一立场投票。”

“议会里没人应该期待我会对一个自由党政府投信任票。

没人该期待我违反我笃信一生的党的规则。我在工党的年头比有些议员的年纪都大。”

Rockliff现在将前往总督府要求快速选举。
