Looking at full-year data for 2024, the leader was Toyota Group, with 10,39 million vehicles (-2.3%). Despite losing 7.7% in Asia it grew 10.1% in Europe.
The second was Volkswagen Group with 8,48 million sales (-1.4%). Growth in America (+10%) was outweighed by losses in Asia (-9.5%).
In third place, Hyundai-Kia recorded 6,82 million sales with a decline of 2.7%. Overall performance was negative, with drops in Africa (-9.6%) and Asia (-5.8%).
Renault Nissan Alliance grew 1 spot, ranking in 4th and reporting 6,24 million sales while growing 1.5%, mainly in Europe (+4.8%).
General Motors gained 1 spot ranking in 5th place with 5,96 million sales (-1.8%). It grew 28.9% in Europe, despite losing 9.5% in Asia.
In 6th position, Stellantis fell 2 spots with 5,32 million sales (-6.2%), Down 8.5% in Europe and America, it gained 8.9% in Asia.
Honda Motor followed in 7th, with 3,88 million new sales (-3.6%), losing 12.8% in Asia but gaining 15.9% in Europe.
Ford Group ranked 8th with 3,87 million units sold (+1.3%), growing 5.1% in America and 8.9% in Europe.
In 9th place, BYD climbed one spot and reported 3,82 million sales. Up 41.8% in volume, it reported one of the best performances overall. The company achieved extraordinary growth especially in the Americas (+254.4%) and Europe (+250.8%).
Closing the top 10, Suzuki fell one spot in 10th with 3,09 million registrations (+4.8%), with losses in America (-8.9%) but gains in Europe (+9.1%).
