Full-Time, Fixed-Term for 3 years
Western Sydney University is seeking a highly motivated individual to provide electronics, firmware, and software support for its Biomedical Engineering and Neuromorphic Systems (BENS) program within the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development.

As the Senior Technical Officer (MARCS) in the BENS research program you will provide support with electronics, including the design, implementation and testing of electronic hardware and support of software driven electronic devices and experimental equipment control systems, to integrate these with data acquisition systems and to provide general electronics support. You will work closely with the BENS Research Program Leader, the Technical Team Leader and other Technical Support staff, academics and students.

To be successful in the role, you will hold an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training, are an excellent FPGA programmer, and have experience in Printed Circuit Board design and computer-hardware interfaces, demonstrated experience in computer programming and possess excellent problem solving skills.
