Notice of Local Planning Panel Meeting
Application No.: DA2015/0011
Address: 445-447 Forest Road Penshurst
Proposal: Alterations and additions to existing place of worship (mosque) including first floor additions, new domed roof, ground floor additions, internal alterations and 16m high minaret attached to the north east of the building
Council wishes to inform you that the above application will be referred to the next meeting of the Georges River Local Planning Panel (LPP), which will be held on Thursday 26 April 2018 commencing at 4pm. The meeting will take place in the Marana Auditorium at the Georges River Civic Centre, at Cnr MacMahon & Dora Street Hurstville.
You are advised that there will be a site inspection of the proposed development site by LPP members on Thursday 26 April 2018 between 1pm – 3.30pm. Site inspections are arranged for Panel members to acquaint themselves with the site and relevant issues. Conversations will not be entered into except in clarification through and at the discretion of the Chairperson.
The assessment report prepared on the application for the Georges River LPP may be viewed on Council’s website www.georgesriver.nsw.gov.au, click on “Development”, then “Development Applications” then “Local Planning Panel (LPP)”. In this location you will find all the information, agendas and decisions concerning the LPP (and former IHAP) meetings. Agendas will be publicly available five (5) business days prior to the scheduled GRLPP Meeting.
You will need to complete and submit the Application to Address the LPP Form available from Council’s website no later than 12noon on the day before the scheduled meeting if:
1) You wish to speak at the LPP meeting; and/or
2) You are a submitter and you would like to register your interest in the Georges River LPP members visiting your property as part of the scheduled site inspection (Please note: It is not a requirement for the Panel to visit a submitter’s property to complete its assessment); or
If you did not make a submission on the proposal during the neighbour notification period and still wish to address the GRLPP at the meeting, then you must attach a one (1) A4 page summary of the issues you wish to discuss at the Panel meeting. This must accompany the Application to Address the LPP Form and be submitted 24 hours before the scheduled meeting.
The Application to address the LPP Form is available from Council’s website under “Development”, then “Development Applications” then “Local Planning Panel (LPP)”. The form and any relevant attachments must be emailed to the attention of Monica Wernej at LPP@georgesriver.nsw.gov.au
Please note that the GRLPP will not consider or accept any documents, plans or other materials at the Panel meeting.
