从即日开始，Amex可以代替Opal卡，用作Ferry线路和Dulwich Hill的轻轨线。银行发的Amex卡和海外Amex卡也可以用，只要有paywave功能的信用卡就可以。目前暂时没有开通火车的功能，手机钱包也可以同样使用。
坐这些线路的时候，不用再去充值Opal卡，还可以积分。用多少划多少，不用预先充值。不过可惜目前还没有优惠功能（非高峰期优惠、老年卡、学生卡、每日封顶和每周8次后半价），现在开通的只是最基本的成人单次票的功能，希望他们继续work on it，早一点把所有功能都开通，然后把Opal卡取代掉！
总结：目前这个新功能还属于鸡肋状态，但是这是一个很大的进步，银行卡取代Opal卡应该是大趋势。

You can now use your American Express Card to pay for one Adult Opal single trip ticket fare on Sydney Ferries and L1 Dulwich Hill Light Rail services, and earn points as normal.
Your Card is already enabled. Present your Card to the Opal reader before you board the ferry or light rail, wait for the Beep! and you're done. Too easy!
Remember, you’ll need to tap on and off with the same Card or device to ensure you are charged the correct fare. The only exception to this is on the F1 Manly to Circular Quay service, which is a tap on only service
Any American Express Cards with the contactless symbol can be used (including Cards issued overseas and by your bank). Prepaid Cards, however, cannot be used.
And if you see any pending $1 charges on your mobile wallet, online Account or app, don't worry. These are just pre-authorisation charges, and no money will be taken. Only the final fare will be billed to your Account.
There are no discounted fares or concession fares and use does not count towards Opal Daily Travel caps or Weekly Travel Rewards.
Each tap is valid for one Adult Opal single trip ticket and there are no transfer discounts so if you board another mode of public transport you will need to buy another ticket.
