2009 Event Details

When:
- Sunday 15th March 2009.

Time:
- Registration from 8:30am (Lennox Gardens)
- Fishing from 9:00am - 3:00pm (eligible fishing area is anywhere on Lake Burley Griffin, excluding the Southern shorelin between Commonwealth Ave bridge and Kingston Foreshore) -
- Weighstation closes 3:30pm (fish not in the roped off area by 3:30pm will not be accepted) -
- Presentation from 4:00pm (entrants must be present to claim prizes, otherwise a redraw will take place) -

Where:
- Registration, bbq, activities and weighstation at Lennox Gardens. You can fish anywhere on Lake Burley Griffin.

Prizes:
- $5,000 Major Prize (mystery weight draw) -
- $500 Early-Bird Entry Prize (for entries received on or before Friday, 13th March) -
- 5 x $300 hourly Mystery Weight draws for fish weighed in each hour (9-10am, 10-11am, 11am-12pm, 12-1pm, 1-2pm) -
- Junior Boy Heaviest Carp - Junior Girl Heaviest Carp -
- Junior Boy Heaviest Redfin - Junior Girl Heaviest Redfin -
- Adult Heaviest Carp - Adult Heaviest Redfin -

Activities:
- Food and drink available, including bbq, soft drinks, ice-creams, espresso coffee -
- Rods and reels available to hire ($5.00 + $20.00 refundable deposit) -
- Sportfishin' Simulator - Fishing Tips - Casting Competition - Tackle display - Capital Chemist hot air balloon (weather permitting) -

Entry fees:
- $10.00 per family (up to 2 adults and 2 children) - $5.00 per adult (age 16 or older) - $2.00 per child (under 16) -
