Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform technical evaluations of new products in response to business needs and strategic direction; Coordinate regional IT directors, managers, operations centres, corporate management to provide and support business solutions; All aspects of designing and supporting a secure highly available data centre environment; All aspects of servers, storage, network, virtualization and application troubleshooting.

Knowledge and Experience:
•10 years professional experience in IT.
•5 years profession experience working with enterprise class solutions.
•Experience with the PCI payment industry security standards a plus.
•Formal technical education in the relative fields of the position or 10 years’ experience desirable
•Relevant certifications – Redhat Linux, MCSE, VMware, AWS
•Must have a valid passport and abilty to travel to New Zealand and interstate Australia.

Skills/Abilities:
•Understanding of security environments and access control principles.
•Strong working knowledge of data centre and hosting technologies including server hardware infrastructure, Storage Area Network, Microsoft Windows Server and networking concepts.
•Expert, current knowledge of ESXi VMware Virtualization and Linux platform technology.
•Experience with the Redhat Satellite and IPA technologies a plus.
•Advanced knowledge of established internal and external IT industry standards, practices and methodologies, as well as advance analytical and problem solving skills.
•Problem solver who can troubleshoot through crisis situations via rational approach, mature judgment and clear coordination of tasks.

Special Conditions:

After-hours works may be required occasion including travel to Melbourne, Sydney, New Zealand and any future VCS datacenters in the AUS/NZ region. Employee would be ‘on-call’ for any disaster events in the region.
