Burn the Midnight Oil

含义：熬夜，连夜工作

澳洲曾经有个摇滚乐队就叫“Midnight Oil”，其主唱歌手Peter Garrett就是我们现在的联邦环境，文化遗产与艺术部长。大家都知道他以前是彻夜摇滚，不知道现在还有没有精神为保护环境而彻夜工作？

例句：

A: I can't do this anymore. I've been burning the midnight oil for several days in a row now. I'm flat out.
B: Man, tell me about it. And to top it up, our CEO just said that our next year's bonus is that we will still have a job.
