Merchandise Manager/Planner
An incredible opportunity for a highly motivated individual with management experience in Planning or Buying to join a start-up Cross Border online retail business.

A well-established company based in Melbourne is seeking a Merchandise Manager to come and join its newly established Cross Border Online Retail business primarily facing the Greater China Region.
Working in the Melbourne Head Office, you will be the core of the purchasing reporting directly to the Director. You will be focused on developing and implementing a buying and ranging strategy that focuses on engaging the customer, enhancing the business direction and delivers maximum business profitability and sustainable capabilities for future growth.
Key Accountabilities:
• Develop new business partnerships with brands and platforms across categories (Food/Supplements, Lifestyle, Home, Cosmetics, and Kids & Maternity) to optimise business opportunities;
• Create, manage and implement a comprehensive strategy in line with our business needs, maximising online capability, profitability and consistency;
• Report to the management in the aspects of the operation, service and sales result. Rise to the Company Director of any operation issues, problems and difficulties, which deserve his attention.
• Closely monitor the stock level and liaise with the suppliers to ensure the continual and stable supply according to the purchasing budget and remedy the supply shortage in a timely manner;
• Analyses the sales record through company's market leading CRM system. Making suggestions to the management on products and marketing campaigns.
• Monitor and coordinate operation related tasks including pick & pack, logistic, custom clearance, and product verification.
• Liaise with warehouse operator and sales team to facilitate unparallelled customer service and tactical target marketing and advertising.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
• 3+ years working experience including experience in merchandise, sales, retail or e-business related field.
• Highly adaptable and resilient to change in a fast-paced market.
• Solid management skill, be able to lead and train new members of the team
• Possess commercial awareness and demonstrate business acumen
• Well-developed interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
• Strong knowledge and sensitivity of the local market for health care, nutritional food, cosmetic beauty, maternal and infant products.
• Familiarity with cross-border business process and policy is a bonus
• Quick learner, self-motivated, strong resistance to compression
• Proven work ethic with utmost "can do" attitude.
• Proficiency in both Mandarin and English is a must.
