How long will my card(s) take to arrive?
Due to the success of the campaign and expected high demand, your card could take 2-5 weeks to arrive.
When will the offer close?
The offer is only available for a limited time. We will email you before the offer closes. Until the offer closes you can purchase more cards.
Why does my card have $100 or $500 on it, but it costs $95 or $475?
Your Card contains either $100 or $500 of credit but you've paid only $95 or $475 for it, because you’ve received a 5% discount.
How does the Card work?
The card will come pre-activated and ready to be used. It works like an Eftpos card, however, only one Card per transaction is allowed. If your purchase is greater than the balance remaining on the Card, you will be required to pay the remainder of the balance in cash.
The Card cannot be reloaded and is not redeemable for cash.
What if I lose the Card?
Treat this Card like cash. Once you have signed for your Registered Post delivery, lost, stolen, defaced, mutilated or altered cards cannot be replaced, refunded or redeemed.
What can I buy with the Card?
The Card is valid for all fuel products and in-store products at participating BP outlets Australia-wide with eftpos facilities for 12 months.
The Card cannot be used at unmanned BP outlets.
When will the payment for the BP pre-paid card(s) come out of my account?
Actual payment of the transaction will occur at the time of purchase of the BP pre paid fuel card.
Purchase of the BP pre-paid fuel card is only available by Visa or Mastercard.
What happens if I buy a card and it never arrives?
If your card does not arrive within 4 weeks, it may be lost or stolen. If so, the card will be cancelled and re-issued by BP. But you must first notify them in writing of a lost or stolen card at this address: bpprepaycards@bp.com or BP Gift Card Administrator, BP Customer Service Centre, GPO Box 5222, Melbourne VIC 3001
What if I change my mind?
If you order a card but you then change your mind, you will not be able to get a refund.
Can I buy as many cards as I want?
Yes, you can buy as many cards as you would like to. However, some BP stations have Point of Sale terminals that can only process one card per transaction.
How long until the cards expire?
The cards are valid for 12 months from the date of issue by BP. They contain an expiry date for your information.
Which fuel types are covered?
You can use the pre-paid cards to buy any fuel or in-store product at BP stations Australia-wide.
Will I be able to use the discount at a station near me?
BP has an extensive national network of stations. You can use the station locator on the One Big Switch offer page to see where your nearest BP service station is. You can also use the BP Everywhere Mobile App which can be downloaded for iPhone and Android through the One Big Switch offer page.
Can I use the Cards at unmanned stations?
No, the Cards can only be used at BP outlets with eftpos facilitates.
What if I don't use all the card's credit at once?
You don't have to use all the credit at once. You can use the card multiple times until the credit runs out. However, to get the full benefit of the discount you have to use the full amount on the card before the expiry date.
What is the smallest purchase I can make on my card?
The minimum purchase on the card in a single transaction is $5.00.
What happens once I have exhausted all of the value on my card?
You then pay for your fuel or other product in the normal way. You cannot recharge or reload your card. But you can buy extra cards, for a limited time. Also, no cash out facilities are available on the card.
Can I still use shopper dockets for other chains as well?
Of course. You can use your BP group discount at BP stations and also access other offers at other stations if you want to.
Who is behind the campaign?
The campaign is powered by the consumer network One Big Switch and is supported by News Corp Australia and Seven West Media, which means it has appeared on Sunrise, 7 News, news.com.au, the Daily Telegraph, the Sunday Telegraph, the Herald Sun, the Sunday Herald Sun, the Courier Mail, the Sunday Mail, the Adelaide Advertiser, the Hobart Mercury, The Sunday Tasmanian, the NT News, the Sunday Territorian, and the Sunday Times. Neither One Big Switch, News Corp Australia or Seven West Media will earn a commission from the provider of the discounted petrol offer.
