JULIA Jenkins has opened up about her relationship with fellow MasterChef constestant Chris Badenoch after she was booted from the competition last night.
Jenkins, who failed to impress the judges with her Malaysian-themed dish, said the 18-year age difference was not a hindrance to her relationship with Badenoch, the Herald Sun reports.
The cooks have both ended their respective relationships and are in the early stages of a new romance.
“We have been out a few times, but we've just come out of pretty serious relationships so we're not looking to start anything major,'' Jenkins, 23, said.
“He's been a good friend of mine since the beginning of the competition.
“We weren't able to (keep in touch after she left the MasterChef house).
“I didn't see him for several months, but we've picked up the friendship where we left off. We hang out and talk. I enjoy spending time with him.''
Jenkins said that she and Badenoch shared a lot of the same interests when it came to food and that she would be contributing to his beer-based eatery.
“He has asked me to contribute a couple of recipes for his business," she said.
Jenkins was fast-tracked to the finals and had spent the last few weeks practising her cooking skills in top restaurants.
Poh Ling Yeow won last night's challenge aftwer winning the right to choose the theme and thw two core ingredients.
The popular television competition is now down to four contestants: Justine Schofield, Julie Goodwin, Ling Yeow and Badenoch. |
