Caulfield Grammar also celebrated after its dux, Emily Feng-Gu, received a perfect score of 99.95.
Emily followed in the footsteps of her sister, Eve, who graduated with 99.95 in 2003.
Five per cent of the school's Year 12s graduated in the top 1 per cent of the state, meaning an ATAR of 99 or above, and 37 per cent in the top 10 per cent (90 or above).
Emily could join Alex studying medicine at Monash University next year, if she gets her first preference.
Otherwise, it's off to Melbourne University to study science.

Brighton Grammar, eight boys scored an ATAR over 99, double last year and the highest number of top performers in more than a decade.
This included 13 per cent with an ATAR of 95 or above - dux Chen Qian scored 99.90 - and 34 per cent with 90 or above; with 63 per cent scoring 80 or above.

Two graduates of Kew's Xavier College, Thomas Crowley and James Gunn, scored a perfect ATAR of 99.95, while classmates Thomas Ferretto and Denzil Furtado received 99.90.
The school boasts had 22 students (9 per cent of the class) who attained an ATAR of more than 99, while 63 students (26 per cent) got 95 or above.
There were 93 Xavier students (38 per cent) to attain 90 or above, and 143 students (59 per cent) got 80 or more.

Brighton Secondary College principal Julie Podbury said 33 per cent of her VCE students had scored 80 or above, with the school's dux achieving 99.8.

St Michael's Grammar School

Alex Simpson, dux of St Kilda's St Michael's Grammar School, achieved a near-perfect ATAR of 99.40.
"I'm really excited, but I'm still a bit nervous about offers," she said.
The aspiring paediatrician, 18, wants to study medicine at Monash University, and will find out on Friday whether she has been short-listed.
But she has resolved to stay positive no matter what the outcome.
"I know there are a couple of different pathways to get where I want to go," Alex said, citing biomedicine as her second preference.
Among her classmates, 44 per cent scored 80 or above, 26 per cent got 90 or more, and 12 per cent 95 or more.
Head of school Simon Gipson described the results as a "wonderful celebration of individual successes".
"To have almost half of the cohort ranked in the top 20 per cent of the state is an outstanding accomplishment for both the students and their teachers," he said.

Balwyn High School was the state's best performer with 23 perfect study scores this year. The school finished just ahead of Scotch College, which had 20, followed by Melbourne Grammar School (17) and Melbourne High School (16).

Melbourne High School had the most scores of 40 and above in the state with 624, followed by Caulfield Grammar School's Caulfield campus with 365 and St Kevin's College in Toorak with 353.
Caulfield Grammar's Caulfield campus recorded one of the biggest jumps in scores of 40-plus, achieving 76 more than last year.

Frankston High School has excelled again in outdoor education. The school had 13 students who scored 40 or higher in the subject, including two who scored 49. Year 11 student Courtney Harrison, who completed outdoor education as a final-year subject, scored a perfect 50.
