我家孩子说上周刚进行了测试,测试通过可以从red ball升级到orange ball ,他自己上课,我也不知道怎么测试 ...
For 5-8 yo, they move on from red to orange when they can demonstrate basic rallies with red balls within the service boxes and able to handle slightly faster orange balls , orange balls are most fun to play with, and there is more court space to hit into, it is best for training techniques, positioning and understanding the basics on hitting and controlling the ball as well as footwork. Perhaps you can check with the coach if your child can do a couple 1/2 hour lessons and see how it goes. (No improvement, maybe wait for another term or switch to a different coach) Private lessons are important for kids starting tennis, it is best they have the correct techniques from the start rather than having to correct wrong techniques a few years down the track. Bad techniques lead to wrist/elbow/shoulder injuries when they start playing normal hard balls.
Usually tennis holiday camps are good option for young beginners or older intermediate level students who play casually. Many clubs run camps every week except Xmas-NY period, you will just have to check a few clubs near you a week before school break and book a spot. |
