 9457    Trade Facilitation - Customs Broking I - Statement of Attainment (AQF)
 9145    Trade Facilitation - Customs Broking II - Statement of Attainment (AQF)
 
 This course is for people who wish to work in areas of international trade
 as importing and exporting, international freight forwarding, customs
 broking, and the government regulatory areas of customs and quarantine.
 
 In this course you will learn about import/export documentation, border
 clearance functions, GST, basic valuation, basic classification, and basic
 quarantine procedures. This learning will take place by a combination of
 strategies that include practical activities, industry case studies, role
 plays, simulations, operating both individually and in teams, and projects.
 
 Completion of both "Customs Broking I" (Course number 9457) and "Customs
 Broking II (Course number 9145) is a pre requisite to sitting for the
 Australian Customs Service's National Customs Broking Licencing Exam.
 Career Opportunities
 Customs broker, freight forwarder, cargo manager, operations manager, quarantine
 inspector.
 
 Note: On completion of this course and the Trade Facilitation - Customs Broking
 II Statement of Attainment 9145 plus a national exam and additional practice in
 the workplace, you may apply to become a licensed customs broker.
 
 
 Articulation
 When you finish this course you can enrol in the Trade Facilitation - Customs
 Broking II Statement of Attainment 9145.
 
 Entry Requirements
 NSW Higher School Certificate (or equivalent).
