昨晚做出来一个规则,在网上打印了一个weekly planner,买了一个star stamp,早上和孩子学习了一下政策。今天开始实行。
有点长,但是必须有啊,不然又该被说主观执行了。
Star rules:
1. There are three kinds of stars can be rewarded:
1.1 Everyday stars. (Up to 6 stars a day)
1.1.1 Complete all morning tasks without mum nagging, including getting up and dressed, brushing teeth and washing face, packing up all needed school and afterschool stuff if haven’t done the day before (e.g. school note, cash envelopes, books, hat, homework, and etc.), and helping mum when needed. (1 star)
1.1.2 Make time for at least 30 good minutes of reading or homework in the morning before leaving home. Last minute work is not included. (1 star)
1.1.3 Completion of minimum reading: 1 encyclopedia entry and ½ hour of pleasure reading. (1 star)
1.1.4 Reading challenge. Complete more than 3 entries of encyclopedia and 1 hour of pleasure reading. (1 star)
1.1.5 High quality of homework and visual art diary including accuracy, tidiness and presentation. (1 star)
1.1.6 Be able to fall asleep before 10:30pm. (1 star)
1.2 Weekly bonus stars. (Up to 5 stars a week)
1.2.1 No penalty bonus. (2 stars)
1.2.2 No penalty and made time for 2 occasions of more than one-hour free time. (1 star)
1.2.3 Approved time planning for the next week before Sunday 8pm. (1 star)
1.2.4 Successfully followed time plan. (1 star)
1.3 Special award stars. (Up to 12 stars)
1.3.1 Single paper over 70% (1 star each), 80% (2 stars each), 90% (3 stars each)
1.3.2 All papers over 70% (1 star), 80% (2 stars), 90% (3 stars)
2. There are seven situations when stars can be deducted:
2.1 Fail to complete minimum reading (-1 star each day)
2.2 Fail to locate homework any time during the week. (-1 star) – be organized!
2.3 Last minute homework penalty, when work due next day is not completed by 9pm the day before (-2 stars each school)
2.4 Missed deadline penalty (-2 stars each school)
2.5 Re-do work or less than 80% homework. (-1 stars each book)
2.6 Fail to check dictionary or resources when necessary. (-2 stars each book)
2.7 Fail to comply with any time limit. E.g. promised play for 10 minutes but played 11 minutes.
Star Ranking:
Less than -50 Time waster
- 49 ~ - 20 Poor time user
-19 ~ 0 Beginner time user
1 ~ 19 Basic time user
20 ~ 49 Experienced time user (10 mins L1 free time)
50 ~ 99 Time supervisor (20 mins L1 free time)
100 ~ 199 Time manager (30 mins L2 free time)
200 ~ 499 Time pro (1 hour L2 free time)
500+ Time traveler (2 hours L3 free time)
From ‘experienced time user’ level, you get some free time every week to do something you feel like to. The free time can be allocated in the next week after reaching such rank and cannot be rolled over if unused.
L1 free time: you can use the time to play board games, family games and sports game.
L2 free time: you can use the time to watch TV program, computer videos and read cartoon related books, on top of L1.
L3 free time: In addition to L1 and L2, this level you can play iphone, DS, comic cards and toys.
In addition, stars can be used to redeem wishes.
A-list wish (cost 100 stars) can be a supplementary educational resource, e.g. books, DVDs.
B-list wish (cost 200 stars) wish can be a short training, e.g. school holiday camp, sleep over, birthday party.
C-list wish (cost 500 stars) can be regular sport/music/art training for a term, e.g. tennis, yoga.
Note: This is not a competition. Please only mind your own stars. Disturbance to other people's efficiency will result in warning or penalty. |
