i just believe in the existence of perfection, whatever you call it, god, budda, blablabla

because human being are limited animals, only the perfect is unlimited....why is this useful to me?

everytime something happens(normally i couldn't handle at that time) i tend to think what would the perfect existence do and can see the gap between myself and that being (normally it goes like: i don't need to behave like this or that, I'll be perfectly fine if i just blablabla ) and help myself seek a position which brings me the greatest amount of peace of mind

I'm just a tiny part of this universe.and i have faith in it and i have trust in life.

大家都说了很多了，我就来客观总结一下人们不信(尤其是中国人)不信的原因吧，不带任何评论:

1，跟从小所受的根深蒂固的无神论教育相悖
2，虽然很多人都会觉得somewhere out there冥冥中有个主宰，但一到了现实当中，会觉得人类就是万灵之长，并且对于命运中遇到的坎坷不公，不甘心屈从于那个看不见的上帝的安排。但到了真正走投无路的时候，人们还是会不由自主的cry out for God，即便他们在顺利的时候如何否认上帝的存在。这点很有意思
3，教会丑闻和身边一些教徒让人失望的言行
4，善恶报应的无从实现，i.e.坏人走运好人遭殃
5， 过于功利，当祷告没有实现时便马上放弃
6，人性软弱，当发现自己的本性很难遵从圣经的指引时，本能的想要逃避，并且试图找出种种理由来justify这种逃避，理由之一就是根本没有上帝，基督教是洗脑骗人的把戏

似乎圣经没有明确的给出答案。很有可能的解释是所指的右手边代表有力，崇高的一边而非单纯左右之分。不过也有人解释说左手边是Gabriel（天使）或Holy Spirit。

I just don't think all the stories in bible make sense. When I used to go to the church every week, I was very open to it. however ppl in the church can never convince me but they just push the religion to me and want me to take it. To make me accept something it has to make sense to me.

I'm spiritual but not religious. I do believe in supernatural power being up there dominating the world and the earth, but not in the form of Jesus Christ.

Not sure what kind of church you go to. Bible itself can be very confusing, especially the old testament. If your church doesn't guide you through the bible and link them together, you can get lost quickly.

What got me there was reading a book, it's a book on how the historicans wrote about Jesus, including Jews, Greeks, Roman etc. Generally speaking, it is beyond doubt that Jesus's life and death was true. However, you will still come to the last and most important question "is Jesus' ressurrection true?". Unfortunately, there are no other evidence other than the apostles' witness which was recorded in bible (from books written by different people). And no one can prove it to you as no one can have the same experience. At the end of the day, you will make up your own mind, that is whether you believe it or not. There is no middle ground.

This is an unfortunately truth, people think they are Chritians and saved but actually NOT。They might just claim to be but know from their bottom of their heart they are not. Same as lots "共产党员为人民服务".

They do bible study a lot and also worship, but how can I believe God created heaven and the earth in 7 days... and everything I have is given by God? No one can explain but they said I should believe. I can take all this as a story no problem, but as a belief is beyond me.

人都不是完美的人，试图通过说服让别人接受是不可能的。就算受洗的基督徒很多时候也不一定就是真正的基督徒。我相信世界有神的存在，不然为什么人总是自然的有精神的需求。就算你从生下来就事事顺利，集万千宠爱于一身，可是还是有空虚的时候，那怎么填满呢？就是这个问题总使我很困惑，我愿意去了解基督徒，受洗接受神，因为我发现身边的基督徒他们不管是顺境还是逆境，他们脸上散发的光彩和少有的抱怨，和对人的关怀，就是我特别缺少的，也特别感动的。而靠人自己根本行不出来，因为人是软弱的，但是人往往又很骄傲。只有承认自己的软弱才会放下自己的自负。

这不需要纠结, 一个人要信仰上帝首先就要承认他自己是软弱的和不足的.
基督来是带来救恩.你没有不足的地方不需要被救嘛,当然是无力自救的人才需要救.自己若是完全,信自己就够了.
圣经也说了,上帝在人的软弱上显出刚强. 基督又说,我来是救罪人.

不承认自己的软弱,又怎么可能被圣经典说服?? 所以2者其实是同一个事情.

谢谢你的个人感觉。 的确每个基督徒信主的经历是不同的，但我身边的大多数基督徒，也包括我，看上去并不是精神脆弱的，也没什么生活打击，就是人更包容，更乐观了。

我的牧师曾经跟我说过，其实上帝已经踩了急刹车，否则死的人会更多。。。。。。

圣经里面有些章节记载的是神的直接启示.并不应该有歧义.
