和相机不是一个道理,相机的感光面积的大小,决定进光量的多少,而投影仪显示芯片不管是 0.47”还是0.65" ...
这个我觉得大底和小底还是有区别的,只不过对一般用户只是看个亮,对图像不敏感不苛刻的,是不重要的。

The importance of the DMD Chip for DLP Projector. Some projector users only concerned with the resolution, brightness, contrast, conventional parameters as they are going to purchase a projector. But there are some of more important parameters which affect the performance of the projector. What is the meaning of the DMD Chip for the DLP projectors? And how does it influence the projectors? And we will descript it as following. As we know, the DMD Chip is the core component of the projection system. To enable projector manufacturers to produce different resolution for their DLP projectors, the Texas Instruments' introduced different size of DMD Chip. Such as 0.55 inch, 0.65 inch, 0.7 inch etc. They are as the same as Digital SLR camera sensor size and effective pixels. Therefore, in the case of the same resolution, the larger of DMD chip, the better for the projector image, and has higher light utilization efficiency. For example, high-end 1080P home cinema projectors are using 0.95 inch full high- definition DMD chip, while in low-end 1080P models with 0.65 full high-definition DMD chip. It is necessary to equipped with 0.7 inch DMD chip for a single lamp of 5000 lumens XGA projector, and 0.55 inch DMD chip for a 3500 lumens XGA projector. This has fully demonstrated the larger size of DMD chip the better it performance, and higher cost. Nowadays, Texas Instruments' released the DarkChip1, DarkChip2 DarkChip3, DarkChip4, a total of four generations of DMD chips. They usually referred to as DC1, DC2, DC3, DC4, and the main difference is that the advanced DMD chip has a higher aperture ratio. So the contrast is much better. Darkchip2 (DC2) is the most common. Meanwhile it is hot sale model which including a number of dimensions and resolution. DarkChip3 (DC3) DMD chip has a higher contrast of the original compare to DarkChip2 (DC2) DMD chip in performance, when the same chip size and resolution. However, DarkChip4, the most high-end DMD chip original contrast has been improved by 30%, and mainly used for the top home cinema projectors.
