The previous post sounds a bit too "serious and formal", so I deleted it. :-)
Actually I have been encouraged to do a master of teaching, but I was lazy and do not want to leave my comfort zone, either. I was saying:
1. Asian language studies have been in the decline for the last decade. Both parties are promising they are going to reverse the trend. As far as I know, University of Melbourne has been advising the government on how to promote Asian Literacy among all school levels. This occurred in the context of the government initiation of "Australia in the Asian Century". I was told by the people in the know that Quality Mandarin teacher will be in great demand. If you do not mind teaching, maybe it is time that you stick with it.
2. I understand it will be hard for a new teacher to find a full-time position. If you stay longer, you may find it is much easier.
What I can say is: you go girl! |
