就你个人而言,觉得全是男老师教学的积极作用和不利影响有哪些呢?这个学校的校风如何?老师对孩子的关注 ...
My boy doesn’t go due to the distance and for him coed works better, however I know many who do and there are many positives; the students bond very well with their educators and mentors, whilst maintaining high respect for women. The sense of comradery is very strong and the school actively ensures that the boys are inclusive. The school also seeks for the bond between parent and child to be strong and expect parents to be heavily involved in their lives. Hence the boys who graduate from there are exceptionally lovely, they receive a lot of positive attention from parents and educators. You must know that foremost, this school's ideology is based around building your child's character as a whole. I have met many boys from the school and they are very well behaved. I have met many old boys as well, who are just beautiful examples of men. Our current finance minister btw is also an old boy. I also know old boys from other private schools SG, Joeys, Kings, Scots and Newington etc though everyone I know are all generally great people, really the Redfield ones are on another level of respectful and kind. The school's attention to your children is very high (both Redfield and Tangara) and parents (pre/post Covid) are welcome to just rock up on campus and talk to people.
The negatives would be, that the male educators possibly could be a little too relaxed at times, and might let the boys get away with more than the female teachers do, it COULD just be a boy’s thing though I have heard that they do brush off loudness/roughness as “boys just being boys” so I’m not completely sure how far that excuse goes? In their defence the mother who told me, only had experience with Tangara and Tangara is very gentle and the girls are all very ladylike. So going to a boys school was possibly a big culture shock. However, I’m told that they are very organised (we spend a lot of time comparing boys/girls haha) and communication response is very fast. This school is independent and is linked to religion, but they do accept everyone. Next is academics, it is not generally ‘pushed’ the environment is very relaxed, building character through always motivating our children and encouraging them to always do their best. But most Chinese parents would know, a gentle push or a strongly worded suggestion goes a long way with our kids haha. Finally, the sense of privilege is not rife however, there may be a couple kids per grade who are legacy (children/grandchildren of foundation families/old boys), those may or may not think they have a pass to muck about in class. However, there is no way, Redfield boys would ever be able to pull off what went down in Pyrmont. Sense of morals/ethics and just overall kindness is very strong.
Sorry for the english essay!
