I think you need to manage your expectation from a 6 weeks puppy. It's great to see people start to realize to have ground rule from day one, but you also need to understand the mentality of puppy.
Just like having a new baby, your baby won't communicate with you for couple of months, all what baby did was to eat, sleep, cry, and nappies.
6 weeks puppy doesn't know how to control or has no control on his bladder, so please go easy on him and be patient.
I see you know you need to discipline your dog but you forget you always need to bond the dog first. To have a relationship with dog, to let your dog love you, then it will respect you and try to please you all the time. Before that happens, you need to teach him "No" and lots of rewards for good behaviour.
Puppy likes to play with your kids means he consider they are his play mates. He ignores you meaning he hasn't accepted you as his family yet.
Feel your dog, talk to your dog, and give tons of rewards and be patient.
