You don't need that SSD since you don't even need to play games.
Good side of SSD is that it provides quicker speed of write/read than mechanical harddrives, so it's suitable for system drive because it accelerates the process of system startup. It's also ideal for cases in which large amout of data are loaded from drive to memory, or written from memory to drive, such as many 3D games.
There're also other benefits include anti-shock because it contains no disks and
Bad side of SSD is that its life is relatively shorter than a mechanical disk. And it's much more expensive than a mechanical disk. (measured in GB/AUD)
If well tuned, like shutting down unncessary start-up services and programs, a mechanical disk can also be quick enough. For example my system (win7 pro) finishes start-up within 50 secs. Of course it also works for SSD.
Another option is to buy a hybrid drive which contains both a small SSD and a large mechenical disk.
It's up to you to make the decision, but I think you may not need that SSD. |
