Q3 2025
In the 3rd quarter, we recorded one crash for every 6.36 million miles driven in which drivers were using Autopilot technology. For drivers who were not using Autopilot technology, we recorded one crash for every 993,000 miles driven. By comparison, the most recent data available from NHTSA and FHWA (from 2023) shows that in the United States there was an automobile crash approximately every 702,000 miles.
Q1 2022
In the 1st quarter, we recorded one crash for every 6.57 million miles driven in which drivers were using Autopilot technology. For drivers who were not using Autopilot technology, we recorded one crash for every 1.21 million miles driven. By comparison, NHTSA and FHWA data from 2022 shows that in the United States there was an automobile crash approximately every 670,000 miles.
Q3 2018
In the 3rd quarter, we recorded one crash for every 3.35 million miles driven in which drivers were using Autopilot technology. For drivers who were not using Autopilot technology, we recorded one crash for every 1.92 million miles driven. By comparison, NHTSA data from 2018 shows that in the United States there was an automobile crash approximately every 481,000 miles. |
