The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to lead the ongoing development and improvement of a self-serve reporting suite which meets the needs of all teams up to executive level at company, insuring both integrity & useability of the information.
The Head of Data, Analytics and Reporting will hire, develop, and manage the data and analytics team, composed of both analysts and engineers. This effective, consultative, and solutions-oriented leader will be responsible of xxxxxx data strategy across the group, providing all business units (BUs) and stakeholders with the data & insights they need for strategic and customer-related decision making. The Head of Data, Analytics and Reporting will be responsible for building cross functional relationships with the leads of every functional capability within xxxxxx and partnering with the BI Teams of some BUs to deliver on the data, measurement, and learning needs of the business.
You will implement a brand-new state of the art Data, Analytics and Reporting architecture, manage change across different business units, and be ultimately responsible for the business data-driven. In success, you will partner with the senior leadership team to lay out a vision for the data and analytics function that helps xxxxxx achieve our goals and enables us to continue our advanced analytics journey.

Key objectives of the role
* Data & Analytics Strategy: Review and deliver the strategy and roadmap for the data & analytics team at xxxxxx to support our growth objectives. Work closely with each business unit to understand their business challenges and provide appropriate data structures, analytics, reporting and visualisation solutions to address them.
* Data Transformation Guru: Champion the importance of a data culture (including the importance of data-based decision making) and ensure it permeates throughout the organization.
* Lead the team: Lead, mentor, hire and manage a team of data professionals building a great positive culture.
* Data Quality and Integrity: Ensure data quality integrity, security and consolidate localized information into the ‘single version of the truth'.
* Deliver business value: Implement new reports and improve existing ones to maximize business value and improve operational efficiency.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with other leaders from all areas of the business to become a trusted partner.
Experience/Skills
* Someone who has managed a team.
* Someone who is happy to roll sleeves up and get embedded into the technical solution work.
* Someone who can help the business work out where their problems are and where the solutions start. Experience asking the right questions and then driving insights throughout the business.
* Sit down with the business leaders and advise on best practice.
* Stand up the strategy, continue delivering the parking road map. Start to look at things holistically.
* Clean the data and work with the current structure.
* Experience establishing a data governance framework
* Experience in Master Data Management
* Experience implementing Power BI
* Strong SQL experience
* ERP/CRM Experience - Dynamics AX / Salesforce (Desirable)

* Experience in a professional services or corporate environment in a reporting or Business Intelligence function
* Strong written and oral communication skills;

* Ability to effectively deal with high pressure environments;
* Self-organised with the ability to operate independently with little or no direction and deliver quality work
* Outstanding attention to detail;
* Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task;
* Commercially astute.
* Experience and very strong skills in data manipulation and analysis using SQL. Additional skills in ETL or other data manipulation techniques would be advantageous
* Passionate about data
* Experience in the utilisation of data warehouses
* Strong analytical and conceptual thinker; demonstrating proactive, problem solving initiative and ability to improve processes
* Strong numerical ability
* Highly effective and logical communication style, both verbal and written |
