ROUTES

Option 1 - Mt Tibro & Glass House Mts Lookout
entrance/parking at Marshes Road and walk the big circuit, which is easy and for challenge, take the summit route to the top (indicated as a triangle in the middle of the cirucit) ... after that, if time permits, continue to the glass house mts lookout






Mount Tibrogargan (364m above sea level, 3km return)

One of the hardest of the accessible scrambles in the Glasshouse Mountains, this one is only for those with a strong head for heights. Graded Class 5, it is at the upper end of this scale, and provides an enjoyable challenge to those with a basic level of scrambling experience. It is not a walk but equally it also does not require considerable rock climbing experience or equipment. However those new to scrambling should be aware of significant risk from rocks dislodged by parties above, and should take utmost care not to dislodge rocks themselves through careless or hasty footwork.

For a less demanding option on Tibro (as it is often called locally), try one of the Grade 3 or 4 bushwalks. These range in length from the 800m Mountain View Lookout – the walk-in route to the start of the summit scramble) to the 6km Trachyte circuit. The Mountain View lookout walk is graded class 4 but is at the low end

Option 2 - Mt Ngungun & Mt Beerwah
entrance/parking at Fullertons Road and take the summit route all the way to the top ... it doesn't take long to complete (approx 2-3 hrs in return) but is very challenging ... after that, head to the Mt Beerwah for another challenge or scenery!







Mount Ngungun (253m above sea level, 2km return)
The class 4 route up to the summit is probably the best choice in the Glasshouses for those with limited scrambling experience but with a good level of fitness. Nothing more than a very steep and sustained walk, this trail still should not be attempted after rain as the wet rock can be very slippery. The trail starts off reasonably gently, then approximately 1/3 way up abruptly steepens to gain the last 150m height before exiting on a short ridge with great views over the surrounding countryside.

For those wishing to climb there are several options on Mt Ngungun ranging from the beginners trad routes of Nursery Cliff to the more challenging routes on the Lower Cliff.

Mount Beerwah (556m above sea level)
The summit route again makes an interesting scramble (graded as a class 5 walk). However this is currently closed due to recent rock fall, and on the spot fines apply to anyone caught attempting the route though the western boundary walk is not affected. 衣服:
运动服外加轻便外套就行
不要穿毛衣
只要有太阳的话就不会太冷
有需要的话帶帽子

鞋子:
普通跑步用的运动鞋配双厚一点的袜子就行
不必去买登山专用的鞋
玻璃屋的路没有偶形容的那麽夸张啦

如果不挑战山顶的话
其实不会太难走或是太斗
只是路上碎石头泥土多点
不像去公园散步那样轻松容易

食:
各自准备
多少自己决定
一定要带水

路线:
前面说了
两者选一
但如果有哪地方你特别想走
可以说说看
不一定要走偶说的
当然有时间的话
咱们也可以到其他的路线观景台走走看看

i'd like to challenge the SC hinterland or GC hinterland which is at least 20km each way
probably early August or ... may never happen subject to my schedule
oh well anyway

got a few v. important visitors from overseas ... been damn busy working as normal during the daytime then be a lousy driver and tour guide at night time (plus weekends ... cant get away with it) running up and down the coasts from far north to far south ... "FUN!" and for them to contact me while i'm at work, i gave them my SIM card so they dont need to worry about the recharge or out of credits ... anyway all gone now and i get my life back! haha ... hope life has been treating everyone of you well


btw, i just confirmed my ticket ... will fly back home for three-week holiday yeah! ... start counting down and crossing days off the calendar now
