Major Crash Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance for information to assist with their investigation into a serious crash in Wilbinga yesterday afternoon, Saturday 6 February 2016. At about 1:43pm, a green Holden Commodore wagon travelling north on Indian Ocean Drive (approximately one kilometre south of the Coppino Lake turn off) collided head on with a black Jeep wagon travelling south. The driver of the Commodore, a 35 year old man suffered serious injuries. Also in the vehicle was another man and two women (all adults). All four persons were taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment. The driver, the two women and one man were later taken to Joondalup Health Campus. The man was later released. The driver of the Jeep, a 56 year old man from Attadale received life threatening injuries and was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment. Major Crash Investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw either the green Holden Commodore wagon or the black Jeep wagon prior to the crash.
