As a gTech Software Engineer, you’ll develop innovative solutions to help our Sales teams thrive, with an emphasis on making consumer support as efficient, and effective, as possible. You'll work with a variety of Googlers, all with different skills and specialties – from product managers to engineering teams, account managers and sales representatives. You’ll take on initiatives including web applications, large, distributed systems and data mining, as well as projects that have a strong emphasis on building scalable server-side components.
Responsibilities
Design, develop and support distributed systems.
Enhance core products to meet the needs of our partners.
Analyze business data to identify and predict market trends.
Advance our monitoring and networking infrastructure.
Minimum qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of relevant work experience, including programming experience in C, C++, Java and/or Python.
Preferred qualifications
MS in Computer Science or related field.
Hands-on experience in UNIX or GNU/Linux systems administration.
Experience with online advertising and Python.
Internet and network skills, including HTML, XML/XSLT, HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP.
Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills.
