From 1 July 2014 the Medicare levy will increase from the current rate of 1.5% to 2%

effective from 1 April 2014 the changes to the FBT rate and gross-up rates will be:

• FBT rate will increase from 46.5% to 47%.

• Type 1 gross-up rate (GST benefits) will increase from 2.0647 to 2.0802.

• Type 2 gross-up rate (Non-GST benefits) will increase from 1.8692 to 1.8868.
