澳洲IT公司里QA的工作是否易做？

国内的软件测试工程师是近几年来发展比较快的职业，很多之前没有什么IT经验的人，通过学习了一些类似“北大青鸟”之类的短期速成班后，都能去一些中小型软件公司做QA。 像有些会计软件，也会请不少会计专业的学生来做测试。但是他们对IT technical skill的了解就不多了，对 testing的一些专业测试工具，(QTP, Load Runner, WinRunner 等)就更不用说了。所以QA teser 目前说起来很不是很专业的QA，手工测试人员居多。

毕竟国内的大型IT公司不是很多，能花本钱买测试工具的公司也不多。 国内的IT业还在发展中。

不知道澳洲的IT 公司对QA的要求是怎样的? QA职位是否好找？是否也是Manual testing 占多数？

QA跟testing还是不一样的吧。

Quality assurance (QA) is the activity of providing evidence needed to establish confidence among all concerned, that quality-related activities are being performed effectively. All those planned or systematic actions necessary to provide adequate confidence that a product or service will satisfy given requirements for quality. Quality Assurance is a part and consistent pair of quality management proving fact-based external confidence to customers and other stakeholders that a product meets needs, expectations, and other requirements. QA assures the existence and effectiveness of procedures that attempt to make sure - in advance - that the expected levels of quality will be reached.

QA covers all activities from design, development, production, installation, servicing to documentation. It introduced the sayings "fit for purpose" and "do it right the first time". It includes the regulation of the quality of raw materials, assemblies, products and components; services related to production; and management, production, and inspection processes.

我就不大喜欢QA，因为感觉有个人无时无刻站在你后面盯着你做事一样，老是提醒你要去填这个那个表的。

呵呵，没错，QA 就是品质保证，就是monitor呀。 但是任何产品如果有了QA verification后，就会更让user更放心，更愿意花钱去买。
其实QA是对产品负责，对客户负责。

Testing 是狭义的QA。 广义的QA包括从其对整个流程的参与和监督。

很多公司，特别是外国公司，QA大部分工作是testing，也有兼SQA的工作的。但只要不是很严格遵照CMM给role起名字的，QA更多的是指testing。

偶设计调查问卷，偶的两个导师（一个北美来的，一个OZ本土的），都曾经置移偶的Role里为啥有testing和QA两个，还有偶以前在国内，朋友接到猎头的电话，说要给他推荐个QA的工作，公司是法国，结果一谈下来才知道他们要的是testing。

明白，Testing 是QA的主要Responsibility. How wide QA can involve depends on the management's idea. 如果他觉得QA 重要的话，他就会让QA invlove 到整个application lifecycle 中的更多的 stage里去, 如果他觉得QA不是很重要，那么QA就只能是在做testing，找bug了。
