做customer service或者sales representative有前途吗？

我是Marketing本科毕业的，一直就做一份Sales Consultant的工作（full time 3年+），一方面因为以前工作环境轻松同事关系好，一方面也是自己的惰性，一直没再找专业的或者别的工作。

但是现在因为种种原因要开始找工作了，投了一个月简历后发现自己更茫然了，Marketing的工作投过有回复的只有一个，说自己是small firm，想找有点经验的，其他即便是基本的Admin职位，agent的回复也是他们客户在找一个比较有经验的人...

找回Sales本行的吧，我又真心不喜欢业绩压力太大的，说来惭愧，投了HSBC的好几个Customer Service Representative（full time part time都有），除了其中一个有过到下一关做on line assessment的，其他都渺无音讯，而且就那一个有过关的还因为我没认真查他们web account里的message，迟了几天才做的（可想而知最后就是收到regret letter了）

我想问大家，像我这种学位跟经验不搭边的情况，想找marketing的工作还有戏吗？实在没有，找回customer service或者sales工作，申请一些比较大的公司，能不能给简历加分，以后再跳去office类的工作？像marketing和admin或者物流类如果人家工作写明工作经验是essential了，硬投会有效果吗？

求大神们指条明路，我有点当局者迷了！

再次惭愧一下，虽然楼主日常对话还行，但是英语基础不扎实（词汇量不足啊啊啊），之前倒是面过一个在遥远的遥远的某旅游景区的marketing工作，但是去了后谈了谈，人说其实这工作主要还是general admin，楼主没有经验，就华丽丽的滚蛋了啊...

现在不上班的时候就在家里找工作，找累了看看足迹里大家的经验，感觉好像都在说最近就业市场不行！（惊）

楼主想来想去还是想找本专业工作，那样的话如果一边看marketing entry level的工作，一边找老本行customer service/sales representative的工作，会不会机会更大，如果像myer或david jones之类的，sales有没有机会转到后台或者marketing部门？

From my experiences,

and If u dun need to worry about money , then

keep trying looking for proper jobs in areas that u like to be in.

But sales and marketing always go hand in hand, personally i reckon they are complimentary to each other. You shouldnt limit ur choice...time flies and u could be on same level of salaries...

i reckon marketing jobs in aus needs someone who loves aussie stuff and can mix with aussies.

Banks do LOVE ur sales experiences(dun underestimate ur sales exp, just have to tell ur exp beautifully at interview, even if u din do it tell it like u have done it ) and ur business degree, dun be daunted ..keep trying...

Customer Service Rep or the like are a very very good entry point to banking however bank teller wouldn't be as good...teller tend to move slower...especially in some foreign banks...very very slow.

Once ur a CSR in retail/personal banking and u work hard, u can apply jobs internally like to business banking or private banking or ur dream area marketing; however, might be a good idea for u whilst ur still in retail, try to help out as much little mini projects as possible...bank departments love ppl with project management experience or exp in running  kaizen  too.

1 yr in retail and 3-4 yrs in business banking (2 yrs as associate and 1 yr as smaller manager and 1 yr as bigger bus banking manager), u could be on 100k based + bonus as a business banking manager assuming ur english is pretty good and pretty outgoing or funny or lovable. alternatively u could be in private banking earning similar bucks with few years..  I've met some front office colleagues did it (from China) and im sure we can do it too if we want to..not that hard....

If i can't switch my career path within next 6 months from being a credit underwriter back to accounting...  i will definitely go into business or private banking and work my arse off and earn big bucks...currently im procrastinating about my career options..sort of like u ..i think..
