VicRoads 现在有一GIS开发人员空缺，现在正在通过中介找Contractor，迟一点会出正式permanent的空缺，如果只对permanent有兴趣的，未来一两个月请留意VicRoads网站。

We are currently looking for someone who has experience in design, development and implementation of desktop and web-based GIS applications in accordance with data and system governance principles. Core skills that are of interest are in Software Development VB, .NET ; ArcIMS/ArcGIS server (exposure to this is acceptable), SQL Server (Warehousing exposure is desirable) EAI exposure is also useful. Knowledge of GIS as a subject is mandatory.
The successful Candidate will have the primary responsibility for the delivery of quality GIS and business intelligence applications, ensuring quality of data, analysis and reporting of information upon which Vic Roads key road programs are reliant. Sound consultancy skills used to provide support to Clients in identifying the essential requirements of any tasks and to provide a timely and cost effective solution.
Ability to communicate effectively with Clients, Management, Professional staff, and Contractors is a must. Well-developed written communication skills for the preparation of reports for Customers and Management is also required. GIS, Geomatics, Computer Science, or IT are the appropriate tertiary qualifications considered.

不过如果有机会先干Contractor，并得到认可，到出permanent的时候就非常有利了。
VicRoads的工作环境，培训机会都十分好，但Salary水平就比较大锅饭，就是说如果水平一般，就会决得工资不错，如果水平很高，就会觉得比外边低。但工作压力真的很小，可以媲美国内公务员。
