heyhey,I've got a query from work. I was doing this client who's got those ATO ruling products in primary production (woodlot and coffee projects)
my client's primary production has got a loss this year. hence, i was thinking whether to defer or offset against other income this year.
his other income including salary is more $40k this year. however from the tax pack it's only saying that only if the "non-primary production income" is less than $40k i can deduct the amount in the return. the client doent' have any "non primary" income. so i thought i can offset the loss.
However, when i put into Sol 6, it's got an error message saying income from "other sources" is not less than $40k which I think it's been included all the salary and etc.
have u guys come across this before?
