我儿子喜欢苏博士的书，这是除Mr Man系列外他一直喜欢读的一套书,时不时就翻出来看，我大约3年前在K-mart买过一套20本，记得好像差不多40块钱。另外还散买了一些单行本，也是k-mart买的，开始基本上用的是单行本，因为字迹大。孩子2岁多的时候能整本背下’the cat in the hat'（我是念得快要吐了 ），孩子识字后就开始看字迹小的那一套了，现在（1年级）他比较喜欢的是if i ran the zoo, i had trouble in getting to sola sollew和if i ran the circus，常翻出来看。
我觉得苏博士（按中文发音为‘苏斯’）的书文字和内容比较‘离奇古怪’吧，而我儿子从小就喜欢些‘离奇古怪‘的言论和东西，所以有共鸣。
另外，虽然他的书内容比较离奇，但不少有一定寓教色彩，比如the sneetches中对社会歧视现象的讥讽，Horton hears a who!中提倡对弱小者的保护等。
我也不知道共有几本，不过他的书可以按阅读能力分类的，下面的内容是一单行本上介绍的：
