Too many dogs die needlessly at pounds across Australia every day through no fault of their own. These poor souls just need a second chance at finding a forever home - can you be that person to give them that second chance at a wonderful life?
We are a small group of friendly volunteers that rescue, transport and foster care for the unloved, abandoned and unwanted dogs from the major pounds in NSW. Our aim is to rehome all these beautiful and needy dogs to loving forever homes where they are able to have a second chance in life. Our aim is to rehabilite these animals and educate people in the community on responsible pet ownership and the joys of rescuing a pound dog or cat!
We URGENTLY need more people to become foster carers for medium to large sized dogs. Foster carers are vital to our rescue group, for every foster carer we have that is another dog saved from the pound from deathrow. Foster carers keep their foster dog in their home and care for it as if it were there own. We supply all flea control and deworming aswell as any medical procedures needed. We do ask if foster carers can supply their own food though this is not vital. Many of our foster carers already have pets and we ensure we thoroughly test all dogs at the pound to ensure they are dog friendly before placing them in to a foster home.
