Our Mobility Division has a number of vacancies for Electrical Technicians to work in the Gladstone, QLD area. Reporting to the Site Manager in Sarina you will be responsible for supporting our customer activities throughout the Blackwater Coal System by assisting with Commissioning, Warranty, Troubleshooting, Breakdown Repairs and Maintenance Activities.
What are my responsibilities?
Commissioning, warranty work, troubleshooting, control systems downloads, evaluation and repair.
Breakdown call out and standby work.
Preventive and corrective maintenance tasks under the direction of the Siemens Maintenance Management team and in conformance with technical instructions and factory maintenance manuals
Operation of special tools and measuring devices required to perform maintenance and repair tasks
Fault finding and repair of failures reported in factory work instructions
Taking part in training modules and providing assistance in training other staff
Being part of a Siemens Tech Team supporting our clients troubleshooting requirements
What do I need to qualify for this job?
Trade background as Electrical Fitter or Electrical Mechanic
Electrical Licence or ability to gain a Queensland Electrical licence
Diploma in Electrical Engineering is highly desirable
Experience in rolling stock [locomotive] commissioning and maintenance or in a heavy industry workshop environment is highly desirable
Experience with fault finding PLCs, instrumentation control systems or variable speed drives and power control systems
Current drivers licence
Flexible to work on call, standby, as well as a variety of rotating rosters
