Sunderland have completed the signing of Egypt international Ahmed Elmohamady on a permanent deal.
According to Tottenham’s official website, Tottenham have agreed to a deal with former Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Friedel. The 40-year-old American keeper joins the team on a free transfer.
According to The Bolton News, Manchester City have emerged as the favorites to sign Bolton defender Gary Cahill, who has been linked with Arsenal.
It is reported that Man City were willing to offer Nedum Onuoha, Dedryck Boyata, Craig Bellamy, or Shaun Wright-Phillips in their offer. However manager Owen Coyle is supposedly not interested in Bellamy and Wright-Philips’ wages are too high, leaving Boyata and Onuoha as possibilities to use in a deal.
According to the Telegraph, Tottenham made a bid for Palermo striker Abel Hernandez that was rejected. The bid is rumored to be around £8.9million.

Manchester United are thought to be close to completing the signing of Blackburn defender Phil Jones.
Although there has been no official confirmation from the Barclays Premier League champions, they are expected to beat off competition from rivals Liverpool and Arsenal to land the highly-rated 19-year-old.
Blackburn have accepted an offer, believed to be around £16million, and Jones was widely reported to have undergone a medical at United on Thursday afternoon.
Reds agree Henderson deal
Liverpool have finally made the breakthrough in their £20million move for Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson.
Press Association Sport understands the deal, which would see striker David Ngog travelling in the opposite direction, has been completed subject to medicals for both players on Wednesday.
The news comes after days of frenzied speculation, with the Reds seemingly determined to get their hands on Henderson before he heads off with the England Under-21s squad for the European Championships in Denmark on Wednesday.
