Application Support Engineer – (BPS)
Global Services Division, Parramatta NSW

My company is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified people to fill the position of Application Support Engineer join our Global Services Division (BPS) located in Parramatta. This position will report to Technology Services Manager.
The purpose of this position is to provide support services to business end users of BPS applications.
Specific accountabilities include:
•
Incident and Problem Management duties associated with resolution and reporting availability of BPS applications in alignment with SLAs
•
Trends in commonly occurring support issues are tracked, analysed and reviewed and risk management strategies are identified and put in place to ensure sustainable service delivery excellence
•
Initiatives to continually improve performance of support function are identified and implemented
•
The release of configuration changes to BPS production environments is managed in accordance with FXGS change management principles
•
Provide Operational reporting and trending to increase operational excellence.
In order to be considered for this position you will need to have/be:
•
12 months+ years experience in IT infrastructure or distributed computing technologies – including server, network and storage technologies;
•
Experience in SQL or other Query writing/DB technologies
•
Worked as part of a team delivering to shared KPI’s
•
Experience in performing monitoring of distributed computing environments;
•
Application development experience;
•
Bachelor degree in EE, CS or business administration (desirable);
•
Knowledge in IBM hardware (desirable);
•
General design experience in .NET and IIS environments for high availability applications (desirable).
