Please find below a step-by
1. Download the PER guide and logbook and the practical experience MATRIX. Both are available from our website at www.cpaaustralia.com.au/practicalexperience (for the MATRIX, go to the transitional arrangements link).
2. Meet with your mentor and bring your Mentor Program folder, the practical experience MATRIX and the PER guide and logbook.
3. With your mentor, look at the Mentor Program folder to see what skill sets have already been signed off.
4. Locate the corresponding technical areas of work in the MATRIX and tick off' these skill sets
5. Located on the top right hand corner of the page is the equivalent PER sub-skill.
6. Your mentor can then determine how many of the bullet points relating to each sub-skill has been demonstrated. This can be found in the PER Logbook under the "To be competent, the mentee should demonstrate the ability to:" column.
7. Through discussions with your mentor, it should be decided what other workplace evidence, if any, is required to fully demonstrate competence in the sub-skill.
Once transferred you only need to provide us with PER Testimonial/s for the purpose of advancing to CPA status. However you are advised to keep copies of your Mentor Program folder, Matrix until you have successfully advanced in case you are required for an audit. |
