关于唐氏检查

唐氏检查现在好像都要收费了。验血和B超都要大部分自己付了。
我的GP告诉我验血100多点，只能报回30多，B超190只能报50。
请问Mel的同学们那里有比较便宜些的唐氏检查地方。

如果去公立医院会不会不要钱(看坛子上很多同学说的)

一样要收钱的，因为这个是自己费项目。我做了，价格跟楼主的一样的。

If you go to public hospitals (in Melbourne) as a public patient, you can have free seconary trimester maternal serum screening for Down's syndrome.  This is a blood test only, and is done between 15 and 20 weeks.  This test detects 80% of Down's dyndrome.

In contrast, the first trimester combined screening for Down's syndrome is done earlier - between 10 weeks (blood test) and 13 weeks (ultrasound).  It has a higher sensitivity (detect 90% Down's syndrome).  It is not free.

周3才做完ultrasound部分,今天就被OB急call,说是在介于high risk的中间,说明天去详谈,还有几个option给我选....
害得我紧张了一个下午....还和LG商量了很久.......

这个检查只是告诉你胎儿得唐氏的机率，没有什么准不准的。如果是high risk 的话，一般医生会建议抽羊水检查，这个就是 100%的准确了。不过抽羊水检查有一定的流产风险。明天和医生详谈之后再决定吧。

When consider the risk fow Down's syndrome, you should not only look at the number (risk higher than 1:300 is considered as  high risk), but also compare the test result  to your age related risk.

For example:
Report: TRISOMY 21 RISK is 1 in 279  and  T21 Age risk: 1 in 45

In this case, the test showed high risk  (1:279, higher than 1:300), but it is significant lower than age related risk (1:45, mother 42 year old) ,  it is still a good result as it is 6 times lower than the age risk.

我的是1:300,刚刚好踩界.....而我年龄对比值好象是1:732(医生给的report上有)....
然后问医生如果做羊水穿刺的risk几率是多少,他说1:200,如果是专家做是1:300
和LG商量....人家说....既然几率一样,就不去做穿刺了....而且....300分之1....他说...去starcity玩轮盘0-36个号都很难一次押中拉.....
郁闷中...
然后回来去medicare claim$,正好看到个畸形的BB....郁闷中....

还是做一个保险啊, 如果生一个不健康的宝宝, 对ta 的一生就是 100%
