为了加分，找到一篇女儿9岁的时候写的书评 
-Book title：They Came on Viking Ships
-Author：Jackie French
-A brief summary of the story or the content：
It's about a girl named Hekja who is taken from her village with her dog, Snarf, to be a slave of a Viking woman named Freydis. Then they go adventuring in Vinland. Hekja meets lots of good and bad people along the way. When the Vinland natives come to attack the Vikings, Freydis and Hekja lead the women to fight against them.
-What character do you like most?
My favourite character is definitely Hekja. I love Hekja's nature. She is feisty, warm, kind, brave, and determined. She is also a brilliant runner.
-What's your favorite part of the book?
My favourite scene is when Freydis and Hekja lead the women to fight fiercely against the Vinland natives, carrying heavy Viking swords and shrieking like a storm up on the mountain.
-Does the book engage your emotions?
My favourite line is when Freydis calls out "If men will not fight then women must!" I loved this line, because it felt so wonderful and my mind was thinking "Yes. Women are just as good as men." I wanted to rush in and hug Freydis and Hekja. It will leave a beautiful memory in my mind forever.
I also especially liked Hekja's dog Snarf, and I felt somehow pleased when Snarf learned how to hunt. I could almost feel Hekja's pride when Snarf became the best hunting dog in the village. The image of Snarf on the front of the book was very cute.
-Does the book teach you anything?
Jackie French taught me a lot about the Vikings' lives, well, in a story like mode.
-Do you like the book?
I like this book, because the storyline was absolutely amazing, with so much interesting detail.
What I think Jackie French could do better is to add some more illustrations to this book because so many times I have wanted to know how the characters would look. Other than that, this book is perfectly flawless.
-Rate the book from 1 to 5 stars:
I would recommend this book for ages 8 to 12 years old. I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.
