The Information Technology Directorate formulates and implements the information and communication technology (ICT) strategy and roadmap.  The directorate delivers ICT infrastructure, core teaching and learning systems, enterprise applications and support services for more than 1 million students and nearly 100,000 staff located in more than 2,500 worksites across the state.



About the role
The Linux Technical Specialist is responsible for design, delivery and maintenance of Linux application platforms supporting DoE enterprise services.
Key accountabilities
• Developing, managing and enhancing the provision and support of Linux application platform services.
• Managing currency, capacity, availability and performance of Linux application platform services.
• Ensuring and monitoring compliance with the Department’s security, business continuity, and change management standards and processes.
• Managing platform problems with external providers and internal system managers.
• Ensuring that detailed platform performance data is continually collected and stored for incident or problem analysis, and capacity management purposes.
• Develop, maintain and implement technical documentation and associated standards
• Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and trends

我两周前去面试过这个职位，fail掉了。跟那个Andrew Jackson面试的，啥废话没有，直接从8页纸的题目里随机挑题问你，问题都很刁钻，如果不是对Linux特别熟悉很难答上来。

钱是不少，contract的职位一天pay到550刀。活多还是少就不清楚了

那些题一看就是他们的工程师自己编出来的，不是从网上抄来的题库。比如defunct啥意思？线程和进程的区别？Puppet的劣势。等等。

进程有独立的内存空间，线程没有。。。
