I m an American and I also agree that there are so many hippies out there helping the Tibetan Chinese in exile to seek for independence but they don't understand enough about China. I think people outside of China should take the opportunity to learn more about Chinese people, history, and culture during the 2 weeks of the summer olympic games in Beijing.
