We are looking for a MIS Officer in Sydney

1) To oversee and coordinate all aspects of company computer systems including installation, maintenance and user training. Details include below:
        i.To administer computer system as administrator with duties including monitoring its performance and resolving any technical problems, recommending improvements, installing new versions/releases of the operating systems and software, assisting in installing new hardware upgrades/products, keeping management appraised of system performance, contacting vendors for software/hardware & services.
        ii.To provide end-user support including administering users/privileges, maintenance and provide technical assistance and emergency help desk to users at all levels, as well as user training on systems and software, as needed.
        iii.To support company network via server by conducting regular backup and data transmission/conversion (if needed), monitoring preventive maintenance program on servers, network & telecommunication equipments and user computers.
        i.To ensure the compatibility, integrity, integration and security of all computers, network and communication systems.
2) To provide technical information, advice, feedback and assistance to others within the company to refine work outputs or resolve problems related to computer operations.
3) To establish and maintain contact with vendors regarding IT equipment, maintenance schedules and system down time.
4) To regularly check and assure the alignment of company’s IT operations with corporate MIS policy & procedures.
5) To participate in computer and data committees and coordinate project-based activities, as and when required.
6) To perform any other related duties as assigned by superior.  

Position Requriement
Basics  
•Degree/Diploma in IT related disciplines;
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
•Ability in communicating in Chinese an additional asset;
•Skills in organizing work, setting priorities, meeting critical deadlines and following up on assignments with minimal direction;
•Skills in preparing clear and concise written presentation;
•Skills in using tact, discretion, initiative and independent judgment to ensure work efficiency and compliance within established guidelines;
•Valid driver license in local country.
•Mild to medium travel in Australia may be required.

Experience (type of)
•At least three years’ progressively responsible and related experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
•Experience in supporting and managing networking technology for cloud and VM environment, Windows server / SQL server database, Exchange, WAN and internet connectivity, wireless and telephone systems.
•Experience in project management and demonstrated ability to take a project through all phases of implementation as well as post-implementation follow-up is highly desirable.
•Exposure in automobile retail business operations a plus.
•Conversant in automobile application systems such as Pentana and/or Autoline is definitely an asset.

Specialized Knowledge
•Computer system technology, including systems and procedures analysis and development, system development methodologies & practices, project management and control techniques.
•Be conversant with local ordinances, laws, rules and regulations related to IT.
•Record keeping, report preparation, filing methods and records management techniques.
