I wrote mine. I can't say whether CA will ask / check for your logbook
However, It is not necessary to submit your logbook when you apply for CA as your mentor will write on his mentor final report (see the link below).

I don't think it is very difficult to write relevant experiences onto the CA logbook. I looked over Tax instiute & CPA Australia websites and locate the examples (see the links below) which are related to your current role.
