Description
An opportunity now exists for an experienced Plant Procurement Coordinator based in Market Street CBD.



Reporting to the Major Procurement Manager, you will provide specialist plant procurement support to managers/project managers who are managing major client projects, to ensure that inherent materials meet all technical requirements, are acquired at minimum total cost (commensurate with other requirements), and are delivered in time to meet nominated project milestones.



On a day-to-day basis, you will carry out a range of tasks including:



Ø        Achieve agreed cost, quality and schedule requirements for the delivery of materials to be used on major client projects;

Ø        Manage communications with suppliers;

Ø        Within a project management framework, provide procurement expertise in project planning and reporting;

Ø        Establish and maintain approved supplier listings for major equipment purchases; and

Ø        Establish master service agreements with major suppliers of plant and equipment.



The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in primary plant procurement within the electrical Industry or equivalent.



Your sound knowledge of current procurement practices combined with an understanding of primary plant requirements within the electrical industry will be well regarded.
